1. Lesson One of the Book of Daniel, Introduction to the Book of Daniel

The Gospel of John, The Period of Conference, Conference With the Disciples, Part XVII, John 14:3,4 - Lesson 125

Read Verses John 14:1,2,for review:  Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.  In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

John 14:3,4  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.  And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

Disciples, I go and prepare a place.

I do not expect you to come to that place alone.

I will not send for you but I will come for you and take you to my Father's house.

I will conduct you there. I am the only one who will do that.

I will not send another, but I will receive you unto myself.

I will not leave you to your own devices.

Aren't we told that the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the arch-angel, and with the trump of God and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet whom?

The Lord! we are to meet the Lord in the air.

He will receive his own to himself.

that where I am, there ye may be also, he says.

And so shall we ever be with the Lord in the Father's house!

This is the Great Physician's cure for heart trouble.

1) Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ,

2) Assurance that the Father's house will be our ultimate home,

3) that this home will fit our every need,

4) that he will personally come and take us there himself,

5) that we will be with him forever.

Don't permit your heart to be troubled, he tells his disciples and that instruction includes all believers.

Because:  Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee.

That means concentrate on God!

And Jesus Christ continues:  And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

I just told you where I am going.  I am going to my Father's house!

Whither I go, thou canst not follow me now; but thou shalt follow me afterwards.

I am going to my Father's house and I will prepare for your coming.

I know you are troubled by all things going on at this time but concentrate on what I am to do for you in my Father's house.

There are many places of abode there and I will prepare a place just for you.

Arrangements must be made by me and when all is ready I will come again myself and receive you so we will be together.

I have plainly told you where I am going and the way in which you are to come to where I am going.
